To tackle the the problems of declining energy sources, and the threat of climate change, the UK has adopted a target of 20% of energy generation to be supplied from renewable sources by 2020.
At the same time, economical solutions are being sought by consumers, to mitigate the increasing financial pressure of energy costs in meeting their heating and power needs.
Also, Government has introduced incentives for waste recovery that are requiring local authorities and businesses to find alternative disposal routes for their waste other than landfill.
Until now, there have been few alternatives able to recover energy from waste materials that are reliable, affordable and environmentally acceptable.
Ignis Biomass is a new business that has been created to address this need.
